Does the F-150 Come in a Diesel?

Yes! The 2021 Ford F-150 has an available 3.0L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel engine. It delivers groundbreaking capabilities, including 12,100-lbs maximum towing capacity, 1,840-lbs maximum payload, 250 horsepower, and 440 lb-ft of torque at just 1,750 rpm. What is the F-150 EcoBoost?

The new Ford EcoBoost engine features a unique port-fuel and direct-injection (PFDI) system with two injectors per cylinder, dual overhead cam design with intake/exhaust cam timing, and twin intercooled turbochargers for on-demand power. Sounds impressive, but what does that mean for you? The 2.7L EcoBoost V6 delivers an incredibly fuel-efficient 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, while the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 can be counted on for a whopping 400 horsepower, 500 lb-ft of torque, and 14,000-lbs maximum towing capacity.

Except for the F-150 XL that’s equipped with the 3.3L Vi-VTC V6 engine, all F-150 models are capable of towing at least 10,000-lbs, with a maximum towing capacity of 14,000-lbs in fully-equipped trims. That means you can confidently tow the company trailer, just about any RV on the market, your boat, a team of horses, or a car/SUV with ease. Plus with multiple bed lengths to choose from, including 6.5-foot and 8-foot options, the F-150 can be equipped with a gooseneck hitch for towing a fifth-wheel trailer.
