Where can I find my VIN?
If you drive a Ford vehicle and have the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), you can quickly check for vehicle recalls. The VIN can be found on the vehicle's dashboard, looking in from the windshield on the driver's side. On many vehicles, it can also be located on the door jamb/post and inside the driver's side door (where it latches).
What should I do after receiving a Ford recall notice?
If you’ve received a Ford vehicle recall notice, contact our dealership immediately to schedule a repair. Carefully review the notice for details about the issue and any safety concerns. If the recall is urgent, avoid driving the vehicle until it's fixed.
Are recall repairs free?
Yes, parts and service for a vehicle recall repair are free through our Meadow Lake Ford dealership.
Can I get a refund for a repair recall?
If you paid to fix an issue later tied to a recall, you may be eligible for a refund. To find out more, reach out to our dealership.
Do recalls expire?
Safety, Compliance and Emissions Recalls don't expire. Other Customer Satisfaction Programs often have expiration dates and mileage limitations.
How will I receive recall information and updates?
We send updates through mail, email, and your FordPass® App (please download it to your phone if you haven't!).
What if I’m receiving recall notices for a vehicle that I no longer own?
Simply reach out to Ford Support, and they can forward recall information to the right owner.
