Engine Changes

One of the most notable changes to the F-150 for 2024 is that the 3.3-litre V6 is no longer an engine option. This makes the 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 now the standard engine, offering 325 horsepower, 400 pound-feet of torque, and improved standard fuel economy. The 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 is standard on Tremor and Lariat. Across the lineup, a range of other engine options you’ve come to know and love will remain, including the 5.0-litre V8, 3.5-litre PowerBoost hybrid powertrain, the 3.5-litre High Output, and a 5.2-litre supercharged V8.

Exterior Styling Changes

The F-150 isn’t always known for its good looks, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. Enhancements to the truck’s exterior styling include tweaked grilles, exterior lighting elements, wheel designs, and more. All trims also now come with a grille design that extends outward to meet the newly standard “coast-to-coast” LED headlights. 5.5-foot or 6.5-foot bed models include a new standard storage box that’s embedded just inside the bed behind the rear wheel wells. But the biggest style glow-up is found in the all-new Platinum Plus trim, which replaces the Limited as the pinnacle trim. This truck comes with upgraded interior materials in a new Smoked Truffle colourway, bronze chrome-plated accents and inserts lined with pinstriped wood with exposed grain.

The off-road-focused F-150 Tremor model also returns for 2024, featuring a new front bumper design, an updated grille with orange detailing, an optional front-mounted winch and an accessory light bar.

Towing & Hauling Upgrades

Good news! The 2024 F-150 continues to have best-in-class towing of 13,500 pounds and a payload of 2,455 pounds. But if hauling is a primary part of your love for the F-150, the 2024 refresher offers a few new features to make hauling jobsite equipment even more of a breeze. For one, the all-new Pro Access Tailgate adds a centre panel to the tailgate that opens from the driver’s side with the push of a button. This feature brings you two feet closer to the bed when loading and unloading items, using the new storage boxes, or accessing Pro Power Onboard. It also helps you keep the door open without coming into contact with a connected trailer and access the bed while towing without needing to climb over. Additionally, the extended-range fuel tank and Class IV trailer hitch are also now standard, which we think helps simplify the ordering process.  

Tech & Safety Changes

Some of the most exciting improvements to the F-150 fall into its tech and safety capabilities. A new 12-inch infotainment screen and a digital instrument cluster are now standard across the lineup, in addition to a first-ever Head-Up Display. And with auto theft on the rise in Canada, a new stolen-vehicles services function has been added designed to help locate your truck if it's ever stolen or tampered with. This feature will send a push notification to the FordPass app, giving the owner the option to confirm this was not them and alert the authorities through the 24-7 call centre.

For safety enhancements, driver assist features like Pre-Collision Assist With Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping Assist, and Blind-Spot Monitoring With Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are now standard across the lineup. Additionally, the BlueCruise hands-free highway driving assist technology has been updated to automatically switch your truck into a new lane when it's safe to do so.
